Eligibility

Legal entities registered in Taiwan with a contracted electricity load above 100 kW.

What’s offered

Subsidises feasibility studies and demonstration deployments of waste-heat and waste-cold recovery technologies — applicable to full-plant or sectional retrofits using newly installed equipment only.

Subsidy ratio
Government share: up to one-third of project cost, capped at NT$5,000,000 per case. Applicant must self-fund at least two-thirds.

Program structure

Eight eligible new-equipment categories

  • Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) waste-heat power generation
  • Solid-state thermoelectric waste-heat power generation
  • Industrial pre-heat selective-absorption recovery
  • Regenerative thermal combustion technology
  • Total heat-exchange system for low-temperature waste-heat recovery
  • Absorption-style waste-heat cooling
  • Adsorption-style waste-heat cooling
  • Other recovery technologies proposed through research-and-development applications
