Eligibility

Self-governing organizations of traditional markets and night markets, plus the individual stall operators within them.

What’s offered

Two parallel tracks: (1) a star-rating accreditation that recognizes outstanding markets and stalls, and (2) hands-on market-upgrade counseling for selected markets.

Key terms

Application channel
Applications are submitted in a single bundled letter by the local government on behalf of the markets in its jurisdiction.
Upgrade-track coverage
Approximately 4 markets selected per cycle, with at least 10 stalls counseled in each market.
Upgrade subsidy per market
NT$200,000 per market, with NT$25,000 matching funds required from the market itself.

Program structure

Star-rating accreditation

  • EligibilityPublicly owned retail markets, concentrated stall districts, and registered night markets — their self-governing bodies and individual stalls.
  • Awards"Outstanding Market" (優良市集) and "Lively Notable Stall" (樂活名攤).

Market upgrade counseling

  • Professional advisory matched to each stall's category, focused on operating space, product, and service-flow improvements.
