Silicon Photonics Process Critical Materials Promotion Program

矽光子製程用關鍵材料推動計畫

Subsidy ceilingUp to NT$1.5M (~NT$1,500,000)
Industry chapter04 · Innovative Research & Development

Eligibility

Specialty-chemicals manufacturers, general chemical-industry firms, and technical-service providers.

What’s offered

Combines hands-on technical coaching, project subsidies, and industry-promotion events to develop key silicon-photonics process materials and close Taiwan's domestic supply gaps for high-performance specialty chemicals.

Key terms

Subsidy ceiling
Each firm must self-fund at least 50% of project budget; total project budget capped at NT$1,500,000.

Program structure

Service tracks

  • Technical coachingDiscover silicon-photonics-process critical material technology — through technical coaching, help domestic firms develop high-performance materials, fill key gaps in the supply chain, and achieve domestic substitution that exceeds international standards.

Technical coaching items

  • High-purity advanced materials — solve the key issue of bottleneck materials used in advanced production processes.
  • Low-temperature curing material — Use ultra-low temperature curing material to mitigate process problems.
  • Low-attenuation light-coupling materials — Improve and stabilise light-coupling efficiency.
  • Explore Cap-board base material — Cap-board base material exploration.

Outreach activities

  • Host silicon-photonics process critical material technology forums; widely promote technology-counseling results; and build a community of cooperating partners across the relevant industry value chain.
